I am a Senior Program Officer and lead the Thriving Places team, supporting organizations and communities to capitalize on their own strengths and work to address their top needs and priorities. In addition to managing the foundation’s capacity building seminars, I also lead the foundation’s work around arts and culture, including the ArtStock initiative which provides grants to arts and culture nonprofits in the Omaha metro area to strengthen the arts sector, build organizational capacity, strengthen financial sustainability and improve operations. Prior to joining the foundation, I spent over 10 years in arts administration in the areas of finance, administration, artistic programming, community engagement and development.
I received a B.A. in Music and a B.S. in Business from University Nebraska-Lincoln. My wife Jonie and I met at UNL and are blessed with two children, Brayden and Caleb. Growing up in North Dakota and having family who farm and ranch in rural Nebraska has instilled in me an appreciation for strong work ethic, servant leadership and the wide open prairie.
