I have the pleasure of serving the Peter Kiewit Foundation as a Program Officer in the Economic Growth and Opportunity impact area. I am a lifelong resident of Nebraska growing up in both Omaha and Crete. Having experienced a childhood upbringing in both an urban and rural setting, I am passionate about making positive change in rural communities and urban neighborhoods. I consider myself an advocate of the underserved, and have been blessed to build a career working with communities and organizations to build upon my personal and professional interests. In my role at the foundation, I work with state, local and non-profit partners to advance our goals to build upon statewide and local economies, attract talent for a skilled workforce, and grow opportunities for low-income workers to achieve greater economic independence. Prior to joining the foundation, I worked in community and economic development roles for more than 18 years. My work has included delivery of programs and policy, assisting local units of government and non-profits with strategic planning, project development, compliance and securing funding and other resources for community and economic development projects statewide.
I earned a B.A. in Organizational Communications from Doane College in Lincoln, Nebraska. Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality family time with my husband, Brandon and my three awesome step-kids Jared, Tyler and James.
