Raising the Bar | June 2018

Stephanie joined the foundation as our Office Administrator in January 2017. She keeps the office in working order, assists with accounting, and helps run our Summer Fun program. When she’s not ensuring the office meets the needs of all of our staff, she enjoys traveling with friends and family, or reading a good book.

Q & A

Q: What’s your favorite thing to do during the summer months?

A: I love to travel in the summer; whether it’s camping, floating on the Niobrara, or visiting another country. I also love being able to take my very active 2 year old dog to the dog parks and let him run free with his fellow canines.

Q: How would you prefer to travel? By plane, train, or automobile, and why?

A: Planes. They’re faster than trains, safer than cars, and I’ve recently learned a lot about saving money on airfare and grabbing the best deals. I also enjoy a good boat ride.

Q: What are you currently reading for leisure?

A: Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind

Q: What was your favorite television program growing up?

A: The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

Q: What is your proudest accomplishment thus far and why?

A: At this point in my life, I’m most proud of earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, and shaping a life for myself since graduation that makes me happy and lives up to the standards I’ve set for myself.

Q: What do you enjoy most about working at the Peter Kiewit Foundation?

A: Being able to support the wonderful work that our grants and program teams are doing for our community, and learning so much more about Nebraska and about all of the organizations here that are making a difference in peoples’ lives.
