In September 2017, I joined Peter Kiewit Foundation as Office Ambassador and Grants Assistant. I serve as the first point of contact for callers and guests, which gives me the opportunity to create a warm and welcoming experience for all and share my passion for people. I also work closely with the grants manager to maintain the grants database plus our internal grants workflow, and I coordinate foundation events, specifically PKF seminars and the ArtStock Initiative.
Prior to joining the foundation, I worked for United Way of the Midlands. I have always wanted to help people and our community and I was able to feed that passion during my 32-year tenure there. I held a number of positions in various departments including Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer and Administrative Coordinator for the Senior Director of Human Resources.
I was raised in a small farming village in western Iowa where my parents and four siblings still live today. I moved to Omaha in the early 80’s and have made my home in Bellevue. My husband Doug and I have three adult children; Andy, Amanda and Lindsey. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and I have a “soft spot” for children, especially my three grandchildren; Ethan, Skylin and Jada.
