Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska I joined Peter Kiewit Foundation in February 2016. Prior to joining the team I lived in Lincoln, Nebraska where I attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln, majoring in Advertising and Public Relations, with minors in Communications, English and Ethnic Studies. Nearing the end of my collegiate career, I began to work full time at a local television station, KOLN/KGIN News, as the Online News Coordinator. Taking on the varied responsibilities such as managing social media platforms, website maintenance, producing and directing live telecasts, aiding in live shots, and creating obtainable goals for the station’s website and social media traffic.
With a heart for communications and community service, my direct experience in the social sector includes three years serving as a camp counselor for varied youth organizations in Omaha and founding my own youth initiative, Project Poise, which fosters leadership development for young women. After spending four years in the capital city, it’s great to be back home, near family and friends. In my free time, I enjoy competing in pageants, writing for my blog, volunteering with Girls Scouts, and spending time with my dog, Penelope!
